First Grade Entering Second Grade
Welcome to 2nd grade!
This summer, your child is required to read at least two books from the Archdiocesan Suggested book list. If your child wants to read more than 2 books by all means encourage this! Have them keep a list of the books and bring it to school in September to share! They will also be required to complete the attached Math review skills.
ASSIGNMENT
After reading 2 of the required books from the Archdiocesan attached list, choose one title to complete a project about the books he/she read.
Your child must choose one of the following activities…
The idea is to have fun! We hope you enjoy reading the stories and creating the project.
Just remember, MOST children enjoy being read to, and ALL children benefit from being read to. Reading together creates a special bond and it is a special time between parent and child.
Thanks so much for your support with this assignment. May it bring joy to you and your child over the summer and encourage your children to be lifelong readers.
Happy summer and happy reading!
