News from The OLA Music Department

Many exciting things are happening in the music department.   Our youngest children are continuing their studies of musical instruments, singing, rhythm and movement.

Our students in grades 2  through 5 have resumed their study of Flutophones and Recorders during their regular music classes.   The students may access wonderful recorder study materials on the following site:https://musicplayonline.com/      Student Access Code__m617906.   Many other wonderful music lessons and activities are available on this site for your child to enjoy

Our wonderful music clubs are still going strong and are always welcoming new members.

Our glee club for grades 4 through 8 meets every Wednesday and Thursday at lunch recess.  This group has been doing a wonderful job singing at student masses and concerts.

Our Guitar Club meets every Thursday after school from 2:50 to 3:30pm.   Guitar club is doing a great job learning fundamentals and are so thankful for the recent guitar donations from George’s Music in Springfield.
 

Our Violin Club meets every Friday at lunch recess.  We are so enjoying learning how to play this beautiful instrument.  We are especially thankful to the Musicopia for their kind donation of instruments that helped to get this great group started!
 

And the OLA Violin Club also thanks Santa and the Technicians from George’s Music in Springfield for our lovely brand new Violins that are tuned up and ready to play!

Mrs Marylee Fairfield, music teacher at Our Lady of Angels Regional School is now accepting new students for online individual music lessons during the afterschool and evening hours. Lesson times are now available for your child to study the following instruments online, in the comfort of your own home:
