Students in 103 were gifted a peer buddy! A peer buddy is an older student who they will get to work on special projects and activities throughout the school year.
This year our peer buddies are the 8th graders.
On Friday, October 22nd, peer buddy partnerships worked on creating a very spooky haunted house just in time for Halloween. Their haunted houses are now on display outside of our classroom.
Students in 103 are currently working on a new reward system to earn a class treat! Our classroom community has to work together to earn 10 yarn balls on the chart featured below. Once we earn 10, we will receive a special treat. Some of the treats we come up with as a class are chocolate chip cookies, watching a movie, having extra recess and a GoNoodle dance party - how fun!
The class earns yarn balls by following a set of rules we came up with as a class. Some of the ways we can yarn balls are by...
-being kind to our classroom materials
-being quiet when Ms. Tribbett is talking
-following directions
-getting a good report from our specials teachers
We are working very, very hard to receive 10 and I am sure we will in no time :)
Some classmates are a bit chilly in 103 due to our air conditioning. Please consider sending them in with the uniform fleece you can purchase through the Flynn O'Hara uniform store :)
