Mrs. Carney

This is my 40th year of teaching; 23 years of which are in First Grade. 
My goal is to provide the children with hands on, exciting, and fun activities that encourage them to discover their own learning styles and potential. 

Here are some things you may, or may not know about me:

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 33 years.
We have one beautiful daughter, Clare.
I LOVE to cook and read.
I now have 3 cats, ( Fudge and Lois,who are brother and sister, and a three legged little fellow named Lucius MEOWfoy, a Harry Potter reference). 
I have one cute as a button little dog,Teddy.
I adore animals of all kinds. I actually considered being a veterinarian.
My favorite foods are chocolate mousse, creme brûlée, and coffee.
My favorite color is yellow: bright, buttery, daffodil, lemon, rose, 
sunshine...all shades of yellow!
My favorite artist is Vincent VanGogh; his favorite color was also yellow
